Possible results for Round 3

Post by gerry on Sun Apr 15, 2012 11:51 am

You will all have to check your own team sheets but here is a summary:

Warthogs 360 d Terriers 324. A new star has been unvieled in the land of the pigs. Scott Selwood's 114 helps to smash the limping Terriers. Mummy helped; Leuey did not. Congrats to the Warthogs on their first win of the season.

Tigers 372 d Vipers 360. Tigers looked good this week with only Nathan Fyfe letting down the coach. The snakes go down despite a smashing 116 possessions and big scores from Murphy and Montagna. Let's check the Vipers average, shall we?

Raptors 382 d Heroes 352. A much better showing from the Heroes this week but still lacking in the All Star department. Another huge possession count for the Raptors - 129 - when is Boydie going to get a promotion?

Bangers 400 d Wolves 394. This game is so unfair. The perennial April Premier squeaked past the rampaging Wolves despite a big 93 from All Star Franklin. I'd blame Sam Gilbert - in fact, I'll take him off your hands, Bec.

Ridgebacks 317 def by Gladiators 338. A real head-scratcher this one. Injuries were definitely a factor but maybe the Ridgebacks are too Collingwood-heavy. If it wasn't for Lenny and Waite, the scores would be much worse. I think that's the second 'get out of jail' card for the Gladdies this season - in three games!

Mustangs 338 d Maulers 318 - Mustangs (the April premiership favourites) retain their unbeaten record with a lacklustre win over the holidaying Maulers. Mauled All Stars were also on holiday I think. Aaron Edwards kicked the Ponys home. I wonder what their Average For is...?

I will post the details of these scores later...much later.

I have only just checked this result...I was positive that I had lost. Apologies, Macca.

Is it just me, or are the scores down a little on last year? Maybe its just me?

It's possible. Dream Team scores are down as well.
I think the big stars are not firing yet - except for Ablett.
