Form Guide for the Finals

Post by gerry on Sun Aug 05, 2012 1:18 pm

I've done a 'Jase' here and worked out the averages (and standard deviations) for each of the finalists for the last five weeks:

Ridgebacks 426 (+/- 18)
Vipers 418 (+/- 63!)
Tigers 397 (+/- 41)
Gladiators 382 (+/- 49)
Bangers 370 (+/- 20)
Mustangs 363 (+/- 55)
Maulers 362 (+/- 25)
Raptors 351 (+/- 24)

Revealing only in the limited value that you can put on averages but...there is a big gap between first and last here.

Maulers and Raptors look shaky for the first week - the rest are too hard to call.

Ridgebacks average and SD looks very intimidating...

Thats interesting Gerry, but whilst my average looks nice, it was inflated by that 500+ score 2 weeks ago.

But one cant help but note how quiet Macca is these days in relation to his team's chances. Before you posted this I was thinking Macca was a great chance to win it this year, but now after seeing his average and SD he has to be the overwhelming favourite to win it.

Yes, I would agree with you that it is his to lose.

Hey! Who cares about the Ridgebacks.
I'm more concerned about working out who should now captain my dream team!

But I agree with you that this premiership is Macca's to lose...

I'd love to win!

But, shit like Dane Swan chuggin beers I cannot control.

I let results in this game go through to the keeper a longggg time ago.

No idea who can fill Swan's role in AS...might have to roll the dice with a goalkicker.

Well, well.
I got the Vipers and Tigers right as the two form teams. Hmmmm....
Got the Raptors wrong, only because Stevie J is a freak.... alien

+1

Although no need for a prediction, no one has ever won it from 7th so I have no chance.

That's crazy. You would think that someone would have won it from first before now. I can understand 7th as its hard to win so many games against good teams with a HGA but teams don't finish 1st without having a great team with depth.
