Re: 2013 player lists
it would be interesting to see average age of the lists
I think i am old and all will be older than previous years with less kids being drafted due to the depth in the draft

Re: 2013 player lists
So can we expect a breakdown of your thoughts about some lists from you this year Macca?
After seeing the lists who is happy with their draft?
I for one think I did ok, which surprised me as I struggled with working the draft PC and trying to find players to draft. But I filled a few positions I needed badly that jurt me last year as well as grabbing quite a few young kids I like a lot.

As always, goals and tackles will determine all in my mind...unless your AS's are absolute elite you cannot compete without both.

Thanks but Ridgebacks will still be the team to beat. For a bit of fun I have started working out each teams avg's (only using last years stats of course) and so far Ridgees are miles ahead of everyone else. Of the teams I have done so far they will avg each week:
Ridgebacks 423
Vipers 416
Bangers 395
Mustangs 379
Of course this doesnt include injuries and players that will obviously improve on last season or depth but does give a general idea of what teams can produce with their best team on the field.

Re: 2013 player lists
reasonably happy with list
all stars ok, goals ok, marks ok, tackles not too good??? but all could go pear shaped with an injury or two which could cause a significant reshuffle

I agree tackles could be a problem for you, I think part of the problem you will have is Clinton Jones was on the outer at the end of last season and I dont know if Sam Lonegran has been upgraded but he is actually a rookie on Richmond's list.
If both play you'll be fine for tackles, if they dont you'll have trouble.

Re: 2013 player lists
Actually let me change that last statement. If they both play you should be a contender for the flag.
Just worked out your avg at 425!

I would say that this year will determine if you are contender or a muppett.
You have the cattle..and your team could get even better with some astute trading.
However, do you have the bottle to actually go all the way...that's the big question mark.

Rename the Tigers...I think a better name would be The Stealers.
But yes, Brock McLean is a gun.

Re: 2013 player lists
Jase - I see that you have jumped on the Swallow bandwagon!
Folks I would be pretty happy if my team averaged 380 this year.
Not enough to win a premiership but a significant improvement on last year.
I just put my players into their positions and I think I can improve by around 50 points this year.
Given I only have seven players from my 2011 team, I think I can say with confidence that I am 'rebuilding'.
Oh wait, that's what Pez would say.

Well you cant blame a fellow for that Gerry! I just hope that David can stay fit and healthy and finally show what he has to offer because the kid is a jet.

380 might sound great Gerry, but with the stronger draft is 380 the new 350?
That said looking over your team you have some very nice pieces to rebuild around!

If you do Gerry, dont forget to shop around. I would also be interested in SP!

Are you familiar with the idea of a cornerstone in a building?
I like to call SP my Pendlestone. You have noticed that he is a captain right?

He already is home. I discovered him, remember. Then you stole him for a trinket.
