Results Round 6
Just when you think that things can't get any stranger....
Warthogs 397 d Wolves 347
After trailing all weekend, the Warthogs pull out the big guns in the last game (Selwood, 85 and Swallow, 93) and smashed the Wolves out of this round. This is despite good scores from Goodes and Franklin. Still, the Wolves aren't the worst team in the league.
Tigers 363 def by Gladiators 396
Despite the injuries the Glad-abouts fight back with a stirring win over the upstart Tigers. Big scores from Redden and Sidebottom (who invented that name?) and big score from Hepple and Bird were too much for the big Pussy despite a BOG from Jobe Watson.
Raptors 384 def by Ridgebacks 410.
Quite close in the end but the Ridgebacks were too good with Swan and Pendlebury starring. However, have we seen the emergence of Stevie J? A big all star score from Johnson - pity he was in goals. Having said that, Dayne Beams is starting to emerge as a possible all star as well in the Ridgeback team. Is there no end to the talent?
Bangers 509 d Maulers 416
As predicted last week, Maulers were going to have to wear a big rebound score from the Bangers - and boy, what a score! Welcome to the 500 club, Banger. A new Team Total record lead by a startling 133 points from Brent Stanton. Not that the Maulers played badly but the coach is going to smash someone when he sees the next set of scores.
Heroes 285 def by Mustangs 309.
OMG! You are kidding! This cannot be right - although this type of scoring should be corrected when we have the three bye rounds. Man, only David Ellard's 10 tackles (and a BOG) is worthy of mention.
Vipers 333 def by Terriers 405.
Kade Simpson is an amazing player. Tagged out of the first half, he hit back in the second for a BOG 95 All Star points
This was going to be a make-or-break game for the Terriers and it felt good to get one over the rampaging Vipers. Josh Kennedy is doing brilliantly for Sydney and the Snakes. If the Vipers bounce back (which is likely) the Maulers might cop it again next week!
Bring on Round 7!
Teams will be available for editing by Monday.

I think the ASFFL needs to call an executive meeting and consider an emergency bail out of these clubs.
Perhaps a one off payment of $10 each to stop these two clubs collapsing.
If we are serious about it being a league we need to simulate all aspects of our league.
Who will be Andrew Demetriou?
Cheers

Re: Results Round 6
On a much happier note the Warthogs (396) have begun the slow haul to the finals. If I can just get Jurrah, Varcoe, Mumford, Douglas and Green back on the track we might bring a little more consistency.
