Well here we the last hurrah. Would have loved a dollar on Maccs odds a few weeks ago at 5000 to 1 but was very uncertain myself. This game is a game of luck and the pigs have proved again that old men like Edwards, Johnson, Goodwin and Ling came bring real time consistency to this virtual reality game. Hacks like Doughty, McVeigh, Eagleton, Johncock and Scarlett do their job whilst the sheer statistical power of Swallow and Cassisi (statsluts) scare the living daylights out of their opposition.
Bottom line though the pigs will win if they play above themselves whereas the Gladdies nervously wait on the big Fev to take on the Truck at full back. (pretty sure the Porp wont kick six again and Medhurst is Mr Consistency (useless) with 1 goal 2 every week!
It has been an amazing season and somewhat of a roller coaster ride. I know the warthogs have just about upset every coach with their extraordinary run of luck often posting the second lowest score to defeat an opponent who previously posted the highest score the week before.
I would like to thank Jason and Pez for their bold trading. I gave up two champions in Montagna and Boyd for 5 players who have really shaped the season I refer of course to Winderlich Goodwin Green and Luke Power. Later on Stenglein for Hudson gave me the back up needed this weekend.
If I wasn't palyingthe Gladiators this week end I would be cheering him form the bleachers but he now is my mortal enemy well at least until Mad monday.
I finish with five days from now, I will be harvesting my crops. Imagine where you will be, and it will be so. Hold the line! Stay with me! If you find yourself alone, riding in the green fields with the sun on your face, do not be troubled. For you are in Elysium, and you're already dead! Brothers, what we do in life... echoes in eternity.
No actually I will finish with a victory song for at least being in a grand final when no one believed we cold be there
Hakuna Matata!
What a wonderful phrase
Hakuna Matata!
Ain't no passing craze
It means no worries
For the rest of your days
It's our problem-free philosophy
Hakuna Matata!
Good luck to the Gladiators but to the vicotr belongs the spoils.
Graeme its time to let go of the auld mug!!!!!
Cheers and thanks for the abuse that will no doubt follow!! remember Hakuna Matata.

Nice post Milnee.
I guess me tipping over your Coke can today was about as 'ugly' as it will get between us.
All the best, and may the best team (on the day) win!

Good luck boys.
Clearly the aura of the "G" still produces premiers.
...and I don't mean the MCG.

Gladiators
Working for life
Till death do us part
Living for work and no chance to hide
Fighting for us
In the arena of life
My aim is you and my sword is my pride
Working for life (We are gladiators)
Fighting for us (We are gladiators)
One day a hero
Till death do us part
Every day danger
For one day a hero
One day a killer and one day a victim

My Prediction for the Warthogs Grand Final 2009
Possessions:
Goodwin 33
Doughty 24
Ling 21
Eagleton 23 Total = 101
Marks:
Johncock 6
Winderlich 7 Total = 39
Tackles:
Cassisi 7
Swallow 9 Total = 80
Goals:
Porplyzia 2.1
Medhurst 1.0 Total 19
Ruck:
Hudson 20
All Star:
Edwards 30 P, 5 M, 3 T, 0G, 0P = Total of 60 points
Johnson 23 P, 8 M, 4 T, 2G, 1P = Total of 80 points
Team Total = 394.
Strengths clearly in tackles. If Cassisi and Swallow go spastic, it's all over.

Re: GRAND FINAL
Good to see someone showing an interest in this game.
It must suck to the other coaches that 1 of us will win it.

No it just sucks to be out of the comp. Im happy for either of you to win, both you and Milnee have good teams, which was proven in the standings this year.

Re: GRAND FINAL
Luke Power lets me down My possessions are weak It's not looking good at this stage!!! Unless my tacklers run rampant it could be all over very quickly.

Re: GRAND FINAL
No, Brad Johnson is capable of anything!
Plus, if 1 of my markers pulls out Josh Drummond slides in. He got injured early and got 0 marks.
I am lucky to get away with only 8 & 6 tackles to Cassissi and Swallow respectively, considering they both had mega tackles early.
It will be killing me not knowing the result as I umpire tomorrow!

Re: GRAND FINAL
By my calculations, if our players play around their average it should be a VERY close game.
Around 385-390 each.
It just depends on which players are going to stand up on 'Bloody Sunday'.
I like your chances as you have an All Star still to play.
