Provisional Results for Round 17

Post by Jason on Sun Jul 13, 2014 11:33 am

My understanding is Gerry is away at the moment and will confirm the results sometime next week, but here are my scores.

Bangers 392 defeated Predators 354

Vipers 439 defeated Tigers 411

Ridgebacks 291 Lost to Maulers 425

Gladiators 402 Defeated Warthogs 294

Mustangs 405 Defeated Terriers 381

For those interested, next week is the last week before finals. The top 4 is locked in but 5th spot is still up for grabs between Tigers and Bangers. Bangers is a game behind BUT both teams play each other next week. By my quick calculations the only way Banger can leapfrog Tigers is if he wins by more than 36 pts. Makes for an interesting game to say the least!

All clear except for the score for my team. I got 385.
There were a lot of sliders so here are my changes:
Hutchings into tackles
Lynch into marks
Gibson and Grimes (not Hutchings) into Possessions.

It says something about the craziness of the scores that Bangers has four players in the top 10 of the One Heart count and yet is struggling to make the top five. I blame his coaching...and hope that I don't play him in the Elimination Final!

Its been a strange year I think with a few teams finding themselves in unexpected positions on the ladder. For example I doubt anyone foresaw Ridgebacks missing the top 5 or the Terriers finding themselves firmly inside the top 5........
