Thanks.

Ok - preliminary results:
Bangers 443 d Truckers 361. Truckers couldn't compete with the all star power of the Bangers. Great all round effort, Banger - April Premiers!
Spartans 316 d Wolves 268. Low scoring win by the Spartans. Thank Sparta for Leigh Montagna.
Gladiators 381 def by Mustangs 413. JB started the rut although J Mac also put his hand up for the wild brumbies. Have a good holiday Mr Gladiator.
Warthogs 369 d Ridgebacks 360. Nuf said. Wait for confirmation.
Raptors 299 def by Maulers 321. Mr Mauler back in town with a low scoring win. Ryan "Bugga It" O'Keefe the main difference.
Terriers 335 def by Heroes 384. Roo is back and Corey put his hand up as well. Hello Earth, nice to see you back again.

Please dispute these scores as there were many changes to the nominated teams.

Yep, will be nice to get away. No TV reception as yet so it will be a football-less few days. Not sure I will cope!

The way the Crows played last week, no TV reception might be a good thing!!!!

I understand from the other results this may seem contrite, but I am honestly embarrassed to win by scoring 316.

Look I am going to be a little bit controversial here and say that Macca lost because of poor coaching.
Last week he had Grimes in marks and Anthony in possessions and this week he dropped Grimes and had Anthony in all star.
If he had kept the team he had in Round 1 he would have won by 6 (I think).

So his losing this week had nothing to do with luck.

This is joy/pain of coaching. You make those decisions and if they come off, you are a hero.
Kudos to Macca for taking a punt...but he stuffed it up. Let's stop talking about "luck" and focus on "skill".
If we keep hiding behind the "luck" factor, next we'll be consulting the stars or picking our team with water divining rods!

Yeah well thanks for that Gerry.
What you failed to realise is that had I had Liam Anthony in my team last week as All Star I would have beaten the mouth from the south.
So I changed him this week. It didn't come off but I rest easy knowing I followed his form line.
I too could toothcomb everyone's selections and find a fuck up to report, but I guess you were just trying to have a bit of fun flaming me.
Do I need to add you to my no reply list (population: Evan) too?

How did you go Gerry? Have a win?

Whoops! Touched a nerve, methinks.
Believe or not, this is not about you.
Why did I believe Podsiadly was going to play and leave out Henderson from goals all together? I was following the "form line".
Why not put Cornes into all star or least tackles? Because his career form suggests that he his a possessions accumulator.
Is Cornes in all star this week - you betcha! I will probably pay dearly for it but I think it is worth the risk.
All I am saying is that we make decisions as coaches, and yet often, with 20/20 hindsight think - "why did/didn't I do that?"
Each week, you make selections based on judgement and skill not on luck.

PS. At least I have one win on the board! Very Happy

Hint: nowhere

Gerry: Only difference on this one was Wolves: I have them at 262 instead of 268.

See link in first post for details.
