You can't lose quality players like Hayes and Pavlich and not be almost mortally wounded.

Can I just say that I feel for you Macca. Yes it might be different if I was still in the hunt, but to have the losses you will have this week is bullshit. Nothing against Milnee, but I sincerely hope you win.

I am merely stating that someone who puts the time and effort into the game (ie Macca) deserves better than to have 4 players of the calibre he does out in a big final. Hayes, Vince, Pavlich & Higgins would be walk up starts in anyones team.

Look I agree with everyone it sucks to lose players but that is the name of the game both at AFL and ASFFL.

And to Jase I have to disagree with just about everything you've said. I follow this Warthogs team as passionately and this competition as enthusastically as Macca. My entire weekend revolves around accessing stats often at two minute intervals. I may not have the football nous that Macca has but it certainly aint justification for someone "deserving" to win more. Sorry if that reeks of sour grapes.

I am just rapt to be in the final four and am proud of my selections over the last four years to have a team that often goes up against superior opposition because of their "reliability" factor rather than their star factor. And yes some incredible luck.

But as some golfer once said "the harder you train the luckier you get."

And so I finish this diatribe with "what ever the outcome - this competition brings enormous gratification excitement and interest. Live long and prosper ASFFL.

Im not sure how, but I think you may have misread my post Milnee. Not once did I state that you are not enthusiastic nor passionate about your team. Nor did I state that you weren't deserving of winning the game.

What I DID state was that I felt Macca is hard done by, by having 4 (although it seems now 5) players of his starting team out for such an important game and he deserves better than that. I would have said the same thing to any coach under the same circumstances.

Yes I made comment about how much time and effort he puts into the game, but it was never to compare the two of you. Nor was it to imply that because he does and I would like to see him win that therefore you dont.

I think you may have read a little too much in my words mate.
