Last year was the first year that I didnt keep them and it was my best year apart from the fact I scored 400 and lost first week of finals then played Banger scored 400 and lost in the Prelim...

I am with Pez, I dunno if they matter so far as keeping them goes...BUT at this time of the year I love to have them and think they are critical for good drafting.

Yeah, BUT, the core of your team that did the damage was already retained from previous years, or they were already great stat-getters that required no research.

You, as well as a few others, have some great little 1st/2nd year players that will bear? fruit in the not too distant future.

I guess you are so dominant because much of your fruit has ripened.

Probably a good analogy Xb.

The worst thing is waiting for young players to step up.

I started drafting more kids in 2004 (or maybe 2005?) and they now are reaching their peak.

On that topic I reckon both Gerry and Jase have got some great kids. Having the balls to keep them is the hard part.

You might be right Macca, but how good is it when a young kid goes on a tear and shows you what your going to get for the next 10 years. Very rewarding, knowing that you plucked them out of obsurity and showed some faith in them.

Of course the other side of the coin is when you draft a kid and expect big things and they deliver jack shit.
