Results for Round 17
What a weekend!
Warthogs 313 d Wolves 287.
Well, you are never going to win a premiership with that score but you can still win a game. Jordan Lewis the standout. Cale Hooker nowhere to be seen. It's like watching two people fight with limp lettuces.
Tigers 466 d Gladiators 381.
The Ablett heroics were no match for the Buddy-less Tigers who seem to be steam-rolling opposition teams week. Just so you know, he confidently said mid-week, "I'm going to win it from here". Not a shread of humility. Jobe starting to pull away in the One Heart count as well. Is there no stopping this team! Mouth-watering game v Ridgebacks next week.
Raptors 348 def by Ridgebacks 441.
I think we have one team that might stop the Tigers. Ridgebacks see off another top four team with a crushing victory. Petrie looks good in the black and matt black colours - but, has he peaked too early? Will they rest Collingwood players in the next few games? And, in other news, whither the former favourite for the July premiership? Injuries, apparently.
Bangers 352 def by Maulers 353.
I don't think that I could write a script about the Bangers as good as the one he is playing out. He is reasonably safe in the top four but is just TWO games and percentage in front of the rampaging Tigers. Could he make it to fifth place three years in a row? Mauled just quietly going about his business and cruising to another finals series. Just hope that Scotty Thompson doesn't get injured. WE ALL hope that!
Heroes 362 d Mustangs 273.
Heroes win another game and may yet have a chance of sneaking into the top eight. However, I predict that he won't make it - sorry Andy. Mustangs spiralling out of control - again! How did they get to the top of the ladder just a few rounds ago? Maybe Jase can tell us.
Vipers 362 def by Terriers 426.
Look out folks, I'm back! Despite the hammy-induced antics of Higgins and the lack of goal-kickers, a handy 110-point all star performance from Scott Dangleberry laid the foundation for a heart-warming win by the little doggies. This puts us back in the eight and with the Pod, Hurles and Simpson to come back, it looks like the Terribles are coming good at the pointy end of the season. [Yeah, ok. End of the comedy section]

Of course nothing to do with their best players being thieved?

So was the Higgins/Witt trade for Petrie thievery?
